Orange FabLab celebrates graduation of first cohort specialised in drones

AMMAN — The first ever cohort specialising in drones graduated from Orange FabLab, supported by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in cooperation with Mazaari Autonomous Robotics System (MARS).
This group is the 3rd graduating cohort from the lab that aims to enhance the employability and entrepreneurial opportunities of the participants to join a global drones market that is reported to exceed $63 billion by 2025, according to an Orange statement.
During the two-month program, 15 students benefited from on CAD skills, digital fabrication, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence training to build drones that provide intelligent and advanced solutions in several areas to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and facilitate operations.
The cohort concluded their journey by manufacturing five innovative drones that contributed towards digital transformation across different areas such as agriculture, ambulance services, and many more.
