AMMAN— Jordan, represented by Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j), won a seat of the board of directors of the World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) for the 2022-2024 period.

Int@j, along with Bahrain and Egypt, has become a member in the WISTA alliance, a leading federation of technology association members from over 80 countries, representing more than 90 per cent of the global technology market, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Int@j said that its membership in the WISTA alliance is an "important" opportunity to support IT companies in Jordan and to present a unified position on technology issues, as well as sharing information and exchanging expertise.

Int@j Chairman Eid Sweis stressed that the importance of this alliance is due to its support for digital transformation and the information technology sector’s development.
