Training workshop held on virtual reality, 3D printing

AMMAN — Labour Minister and Chairman of the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) Nayef Steitieh on Tuesday attended the opening of workshops for training in virtual reality and 3D printing at the Marka Vocational Training Institute.
The workshops were opened in cooperation with the Jordan Design and Development Bureau, as well as the “Labour Market Oriented Vocational Education, Higher Education and Training – MOVE-HET”, which is implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), with the support of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). Steitieh said that the new workshops are regarded as “a qualitative leap” for the VTC's training programmes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
VTC Director General Ahmed Al Gharaybeh said that the newly launched workshops include laboratories for training in the maintenance of hybrid vehicles, calling on the young people to join the vocational training programmes that facilitate finding sustainable jobs at local and regional levels.
