AMMAN — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Wednesday met residents of Ramtha District, at the invitation of Deputy Khaled Abu Hassan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In the meeting, which was attended by a number of current and former ministers, deputies, dignitaries, and academics, Issawi listened to the demands and needs of people in Ramtha District.
Abu Hassan said that the Ramtha District, which hosted the first arrival of Syrian refugees in 2011, was most affected by the Syrian crisis as a result of the closure of the borders, given that most families in the governorate depend on intra-regional trade, shipping services, clearance and passenger services.
