Deputising for King, Khalaileh attends Hijri New Year celebration

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh on Sunday attended the religious celebration held by the ministry commemorating the Hijri New Year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the celebration, Khalaileh said that the Hijrah marks the migration of Prophet Mohammad to Medina Munawara from Mecca, which is annually celebrated under Royal patronage.

Khalileh emphasised that the Hijrah taught people that life is not regulated or managed by religious emotions, wishes and dreams, nor by waiting for miracles, but rather by planning, following a set of balanced rules, and establishing firm foundations upon which a strong society rests.
