Foreign Ministry follows up on dispute between Jordan and Lebanese basketball players

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry, through the Jordanian embassy in Jakarta, on Sunday said that it is following up on the dispute between members of the Jordanian and Lebanese basketball teams during a game at the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 in Indonesia.
The ministry said that it contacted President of the Jordan Basketball Federation Mohammed Eliyyan who had contacted the Jordanian ambassador in Jakarta over the dispute, according to a ministry statement.
The embassy said that the ambassador is currently with the Jordanian delegation attending the tournament and is following up on the issue with the secretary of the federation and the Lebanese embassy in Jakarta.
