King to participate in Jeddah summit Saturday

Amman — His Majesty King Abdullah participates on Saturday in the Jeddah Security and Development Summit, held in Saudi Arabia, where His Majesty will be arriving from the United States.
The summit — which brings together members of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the United States, Egypt, and Iraq, as well as Jordan —will cover the latest regional and international developments, as well as means to expand cooperation between the participating countries, particularly in economic fields, as well as food security, energy, and water.
On the sidelines of the summit, King Abdullah is scheduled to hold a number of meetings with the participating leaders to discuss regional issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, as well as means to reach political solutions to regional crises and bolster bilateral relations.
