AMMAN — The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation is in the final stages of completing the report on the second national voluntary review for 2022 as part of the Kingdom's endeavours towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, Secretary General of the ministry Marwan Rifai said on Monday.
Attending the closing ceremony of a consultation workshop organised by the ministry titled "Sustainable Development Agenda at Local Level", Rifai said that Jordan is scheduled to extend the second review in July during the UN high-level political forum titled “Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)" while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Rifai noted that the government sought to include and connect SDGs with various government and national policies and strategies with the aim of speeding up procedures to realise the envisioned progress, according to a ministry statement.
