Hawatmeh, Tanzanian army chief discuss security cooperation

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and Chief of Defence Forces of Tanzania People's Defence Forces Gen. Venance Salvatory Mabeyo, and an accompanying delegation, discussed means to enhance cooperation, mainly in the police, security and civil protection fields.
Hawatmeh said that an important part of the PSD’s security strategy is based on cooperation and exchanging expertise with security apparatuses around the world, expressing hope for furthering cooperation with Tanzania, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Mabeyo praised the level of existing cooperation, noting that the meeting will pave the way for a new phase of cooperation in fields both sides agreed on.
