AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh will take part in the 6th Brussels Conference on supporting the future of Syria and the region, scheduled for May 2022.
The Brussels-hosted conference aims to maintain international community's participation and mobilise further support for refugees and their host communities, as well as enhancing economic recovery in the region, according to ministry statement released on Thursday.
Jordan participation in the conference is meant to share with the international community the Kingdom's challenges resulting from the measures taken to alleviate the Syrian crisis, and to urge the international community to bear its responsibilities in helping Jordan, a refugee host country.
The conference also serves as an opportunity to bring Jordan together with a number of its development partners to discuss bilateral relations.
