AMMAN — Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Sharhabeel Madi and President of the Board of International Centre for Chemical Safety and Security (ICCSS) in Poland Krzysztof Paturej on Thursday discussed means of enhancing cooperation to attract "qualitative" investments in the industrial and protection-driven sectors against regional crises and disasters.
ASEZA and ICCSS agreed to hold joint workshops with ASEZA's relevant institutions to maintain various sectors' safety and security from all forms of risks, according to Madi.
The two sides also agreed to open an ICCSS office in ASEZA to follow up on the implementation of the projects agreed upon, notably the projects related to making Aqaba a hub for conferences specialised in this field, Madi said, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
ICCSS is a non-profit, independent international foundation located in Warsaw, Poland, which pioneers integrated and harmonised chemical-environmental safety and security and industry cybersecurity solutions. It aims to reduce chemical threats and enhance public security, environmental protection and sustainable chemistry, according to its website.
