AMMAN — Customs personnel at the Jaber Customs Centre, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) and security agencies, have foiled an attempt to smuggle 200,000 Captagon pills into the Kingdom, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The seized items were hidden in a “secret compartment” inside a truck coming from a neighbouring Arab country.
Customs officials found the narcotics after ordering that a suspicious vehicle be searched via X-ray, the spokesperson said as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra. He added that the seized items were referred to AND to proceed with legal actions.
