AMMAN — Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) on Saturday received the first flight operated by the Dutch Transavia Airlines carrying 150 tourists from Paris.
The Dutch low-cost airlines will launch weekly flights between the two countries to offer passengers further choices for direct flights, Tourism Minister and Chairman of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Nayef Fayez said.
The arrival of the first Transavia flight signals “the revitalisation of tourism and shows European partners trust in Jordan's tourism sector", Nayef said in a JTB statement.
