MoU signed to support gender inclusion programmes

AMMAN — The Jordanian National Commission for Women, Ministry of Local Administration and the Cities and Villages Development Bank (CVDB) on Monday signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support gender inclusion programmes.
The MoU plans to upgrade cooperation mechanisms and sustainable partnerships to support gender inclusion programmes, as well as to develop international cooperation plans to finance the projects.
During the ceremony, Ministry of Local Administration Secretary General Hussein Mhedat highlighted the importance of developing a partnership among the three parties to support the gender inclusion programmes, according to a ministry statement.
CVDB Director General Osama Al Azzam said that the bank focuses on equal opportunities and developing action plans that bring justice to women and young people in each municipality targeted by the innovative projects.
