Kisbi meets head of Iraqi National Investment Commission

AMMAN — Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahya Kisbi on Thursday met with Suha Najjar, head of the Iraqi National Investment Commission, over means to enhance investment cooperation between the countries.
Kisbi said that the government pays much attention to attracting foreign investments and encouraging investors to start projects in the Kingdom through granting them facilitations and incentives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister referred to a recent Cabinet decision approving amendments to grant investors Jordanian citizenship through investments, a procedure that aims to create an attractive environment for investors.
Najjar expressed the commission’s readiness to cooperate with the Kingdom in a way that guarantees joint interests and contributes to supporting the two economies.
She also said that Iraq welcomes the entry of Jordanian investment companies to the Iraqi market due to their “expertise” in several important economic fields.
