Head of Senate friendship committee meets Pakistan’s ambassador

AMMAN — The Senate’s Jordan-Pakistan Friendship Committee on Wednesday met with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Jordan Sajjad Ali Khan. Head of the committee, Senator Jamal Shawabkeh highlighted the “solid” ties between Jordan and Pakistan in various fields, calling for operationalising the two countries’ partnerships to best serve mutual interests.
The Pakistani envoy highlighted the ongoing coordination between Amman and Islamabad over regional and international issues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ambassador also lauded the Kingdom’s supportive stances towards the Palestinian cause and the Kingdom’s role in safeguarding the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
