JAF mourns death of warrant officer in Egypt

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Tuesday mourned the death of Warrant Officer Ahmed Mashagbeh, a member of the Jordanian team scheduled to take part in the Bright Star drills in Egypt next Thursday. Mashagbeh died on Monday due to acute respiratory failure.
According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, an official military source said that the Jordanian force participating in the drills arrived in Egypt on Monday and will be joined by a number of military teams from “brotherly and friendly” countries.
A Jordanian military aircraft will transfer the body of the deceased to the Kingdom, the source added. The JAF source expressed condolences for the Mashagbeh family.
