Education Ministry readies to commence in-class learning

AMMAN — Minister of Education Mohammad Abu Qudais on Saturday said that preparations for the resumption of in-class education in public and private schools began early this year.
Implementation of the Academic Loss Compensation Programme, intended to help students make up lessons missed during the pandemic, accompanied the move, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Chairing a meeting of education departments to discuss preparations for the new scholastic year, Abu Qudais emphasised the ministry’s readiness for the return to schools.
He added that the ministry relies a lot on the awareness of students, parents and teachers in ensuring effectiveness of health protocols.
Abu Qudais said that students will start receiving textbooks in their schools next Wednesday and Thursday in accordance with the odd-even rotation system.
