Police chief, UK ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind on Tuesday went over means to enhance cooperation between the public security agencies in the two countries.

Hawatmeh stressed the “deep-rooted” relations between Amman and London, referring to the level of cooperation and coordination between the PSD and law enforcement bodies in the UK, mainly in fields related to training and exchange of expertise, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Brind praised the PSD’s important security and humanitarian role that was enhanced after the development process. She stressed her country’s keenness to develop cooperation in the fields of enhancing security and police capabilities.
