Jordanian passport ranks 96th globally

AMMAN — The Jordanian passport ranks 96th globally and Jordanian passport holders can enter 51 countries without a prior visa, according to the Henley Passport Index based on the International Air Transport Association (IATA) data.
The ranking is based on the number of destinations passport holders can access without a pre-registered visa, according to the Henley Passport Index.
The Jordanian passport allowed holders to enter 49 countries in 2019, according to the index.
Jordanian passport holders do not need to apply for a visa to enter the following countries: Cook Islands, Micronesia, Niue, Palau Islands, Samoa, Tuvalu, Armenia, Georgia, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Yemen, Kosovo, Barbados, Dominica, Haiti, St Kitts and Nevis, Cambodia, Hong Kong (SAR China), Indonesia, Macao (SAR China), Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan Timor-Leste, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Cape Verde Islands, Comoro Islands, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia and Uganda
The Henley index did not include Oman, which recently allowed Jordanian passport holders to obtain an “Oman eVisa”, according to Oman’s visa website.
The report also stated that there are now many travel restrictions due to the pandemic, such as the requirement for a mandatory vaccination before travelling.
The Japanese passport ranked the highest globally, with access to 193 countries without a visa. The Singaporean passport ranked second globally and the South Korean passport ranked third, according to the report.
Among Arab states, the UAE passport was at the top in terms of access to countries and ranked 15th worldwide, according to the report.
