Swedish embassy commemorates Swedish National Day, commends bilateral ties

AMMAN — The Swedish embassy in Amman on Saturday commended the Jordanian-Swedish “deep-rooted” relations in various fields.

Swedish Ambassador Alexandra Rydmark, in a statement on the occasion of the Swedish National day, which is on June 6, said that celebrating her country’s national day in Jordan is also an occasion to celebrate the Jordanian-Swedish strong ties, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The two countries collaborate on several regional political and humanitarian issues of common interest, notably underpinning multilateralism, UNRWA, women and youth economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, trade and innovation and climate change.

She also stressed her country’s continuous support for Amman in the face of challenges. The envoy also invited the public to take part in the embassy’s celebrations on the occasion.
