JTB chief holds talks with representatives of Ukrainian tourism agencies

AMMAN — Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Director General Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat on Wednesday met with a number of representatives of Ukrainian tourism agencies.
During the meeting, attended by Ukrainian Ambassador to Jordan Myroslava Shcherbatyuk, Arabiyat briefed the delegation on the Kingdom's tourism sector, emphasising the importance of Ukrainian tourists for Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Highlighting the JTB’s efforts towards revitalising tourism industry, Arabiyat voiced the board’s keenness on increasing Ukrainian arrivals to the Kingdom, underscoring a set of plans, including offering incentives for low-cost aviation from Ukraine to Jordan via King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, once health protocols are approved by the concerned authorities.
The Ukrainian side lauded the Kingdom’s precautionary and public health measures taken during their visit to the tourist sites to protect tourists and workers.
They also stressed the importance of activating charter flights to the Kingdom in the near future, in accordance with health protocols.
