Jordan welcomes US’ removal of Sudan from sponsors of terrorism list

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Thursday welcomed the US administration's official announcement to lift Sudan from the list of countries supporting terrorism.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Deifallah Fayez expressed hope that the decision would contribute to supporting the transitional phase and enhancing security, stability and peace in Sudan, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
Fayez also expressed hope that the decision would mark a new beginning for economic growth that can meet the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
