Jordan welcomes Juba peace deal

AMMAN — Jordan on Saturday welcomed the signing of the Juba peace agreement between Sudan's transitional government and a number of armed movements. Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, in a ministry's statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, congratulated Sudan for the "considerable" achievement, highlighting the agreement's importance as a "historical step"  towards establishing security and stability in Sudan and fulfilling the aspirations of Sudanese for growth and prosperity. 

Expressing appreciation for all efforts exerted to reach the deal, signed in Juba, capital of South Sudan, Safadi stressed the Kingdom's support to Sudanese to overcome the challenges and build a safe future.
