Four virus cases recorded on Tuesday

AMMAN — The Kingdom on Tuesday registered four new cases of COVID-19, none of them local, increasing the total number of infections since the outbreak of the pandemic to 1,132, according to Health Minister Saad Jaber.
During a press conference held at the Prime Ministry, Jaber said that the new cases were registered among individuals staying in quarantine hotels, including three Jordanians who recently came back from Saudi Arabia and a fourth who returned to the Kingdom from Pakistan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The minister also noted that 15 people have recovered over the past 24 hours and left hospitals, increasing the number of discharged patients to 882.
Epidemiological investigation teams on Tuesday conducted 5,842 random COVID-19 tests across the Kingdom, raising the total number of tests to 385,638 since the outbreak of the pandemic, he added.
Jaber noted that the total number of local infections since the beginning of the spread of the virus in the Kingdom has reached 504, while the remainder of the cases have come from outside the Kingdom, stressing that the epidemiological status in the country is “under control”.
