Youth Ministry launches community-based ‘Azad’ initiative for persons with disabilities

AMMAN — The Ministry of Youth on Thursday launched the community-based youth initiative "Azad" for persons with disabilities, with the aim of providing occupational therapy — ormedical rehabilitation services — remotely.
Azad is an electronic platform that was launched on social media and created by University of Jordan students, the ministry said on its Facebook platform.
The initiative provides counselling and treatment interventions within the specialty of occupational therapy through social media amid the current conditions brought on by the coronavirus, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry noted that the initiative aims to provide therapeutic physical activities and free treatment consultations for families of persons with disabilities of all ages.
