NAFFCO donates mobile hospital to Jordan

AMMAN — NAFFCO International Company, a manufacturer of firefighting equipment, trucks and vehicles, fire protection systems and mobile hospitals, on Wednesday announced that it is donating a mobile hospital to Jordan that can be used to detect coronavirus cases.
The UAE-based company said in an official letter addressed to Chairman of the “Himmat Watan” Fund Committee Abdulkarim Al Kabariti, that the mobile hospital includes a radiology department, a clinical department and a clinical testing department, in addition to sterilisation and safety materials, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
NAFFCO noted that the donation aims to serve the Kingdom’s ministries, official institutions, the private sector and remote areas, as well as facilitate access to people in their areas of residence and provide them with necessary medical services and tests.
The company stated in its letter, signed by its Chairman Khaled Khatib, that the total value of its donation amounts to 3 million Emirati dirhams, equivalent to JD600,000.
NAFFCO stated that it will conduct technical programmes to train specialist doctors in the mobile hospital, in addition to training technicians to conduct the necessary tests in the UAE within a period of two months.
The company affirmed its “continuous support for the tremendous efforts” made by the Jordanian government, led by His Majesty King Abdullah, to combat and prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of citizens and residents.
