AMMAN — The Ministry of Public Works and Housing on Monday handed over new central warehouses to the Ministry of Health as a storage space for medicines, medical supplies and equipment to combat the coronavirus crisis.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, the total area of the central warehouses set up in the Yajouz region in Zarqa Governorate is more than 2,600 square metres, consisting of two floors for storage purposes in addition to an administration and services building.
The total value of the project is JD1.3 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry said that the new warehouses have been properly prepared for medical purposes and equipped with all the necessary electromechanical systems to be used as a storage space for a strategic medical stockpile to confront COVID-19.
