Civil Defence Department lauds German support

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazaiah met with President of the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance Christoph Unger on Monday.
The two sides discussed issues related to the CDD to help develop its humanitarian services. Both sides went over means to boost cooperation, mainly in fields related to forest fires, enhancing the capabilities of CDD personnel and providing the department with necessary machinery and equipment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Bazaiah praised the German government’s continuous support for the CDD. Unger expressed his country’s keenness to continue supporting the department in the fields of training, exchanging expertise and offering machinery and equipment.
