During the Jordan Business Magazine Awards ceremony, Citibank Jordan has been announced as the winner of the “CSR Programme of the Year” Award. The ceremony was attended by more than 250 guests, including prominent businessmen, entrepreneurs, and leading political figures.

Jordan Business Magazine holds this annual event to recognise change makers in Jordan on a variety of fronts and to highlight what the Kingdom has to offer in terms of excellence and innovation. Citi Foundation is Citi’s social investment arm and handles Citi’s CSR work through annual grants that are given to NGOs across the globe.

In Jordan, Citi Foundation works with the Jordan River Foundation and the International Rescue Committee to promote economic progress and improve the lives of people in low-income communities. In comment, Nour Jarrar, CEO of Citibank Jordan said: “This award recognises Citi’s CSR activities and we are truly honoured to receive it for the first time.

I must share this success with our partners, Jordan River Foundation and the International Rescue Committee. It is these two NGOs’ programmes, volunteers, employees and resources that contributed to us, making a positive impact on young entrepreneurs and improving people’s living standards across Jordan.”
