Stakeholders join hands to enhance green cover

AMMAN — The “Green Amman 2020” committee and the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) on Sunday addressed cooperation towards increasing Amman’s green cover, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, ACI Chairman Fathi Jaghbeer highlighted the importance of the committee’s efforts to expand green spaces across the Kingdom in cooperation with the private and public sectors.
Jaghbir shed light on the committee’s role in enhancing social responsibility through environmental campaigns across the Kingdom, including its expansion of green regions.
Director of the Green Amman 2020 Committee Emad Dabbas pointed to a number of projects set for implementation by the committee, including the launch of a national campaign to plant trees, and a project to plant one million trees on a plot of land provided by the Jordanian Engineers Association.
