JIACC seeks former minister on charges of public office misuse

AMMAN —The Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) prosecutor on Monday filed for authorisation to investigate and pursue a former public works minister on charges of misusing public office.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, an official at the JIACC said that the general prosecution had previously referred a number suspects, on the same case, to the Grand Criminal Court on charges of misusing public office and the incorrect implementation of a bid for a road in southern Jordan, in addition to committing various administrative, accounting and financial breaches.
