Turkish frigate in Aqaba hosts reception for diplomats, officials

AMMAN — The Turkish navy frigate TCG Gökçeada on Sunday concluded a visit to the Aqaba docks which was part of a two-month sail across 10,000 nautical miles and stops in eight different countries.
Ambassador of Turkey to Jordan Murat Karagöz received the frigate on March 14 at the Aqaba military port, along with Commander of Royal Jordanian Navy (RJN) Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Nuemat, Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Nayef Bakhit and Deputy Governor of Aqaba Mohammad Harahsheh.
On March 14, the Turkish diplomatic mission held a reception onboard the Gökçeada, which was attended by a number of Jordanian, Turkish and foreign officials and diplomats, as well as military attachés and businessmen from Turkey, Jordan and beyond.
