Gendarmerie mourns death of personnel on security duty in Amman

AMMAN — The General Directorate of Gendarmerie Forces on Monday mourned the death of one of its personnel while implementing joint security duty with the Public Security Department (PSD) and the Anti-Narcotic Department (AND) in Al Lubban, in southern Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The General Directorate of Gendarmerie Forces said that one of its vehicles overturned while chasing a suspect, causing the death of Corporal Abdulrahman Jaradat and leaving five people injured. Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh decided to promote Corporal Jaradat to Sergeant.
