AMMAN — Head of the Lower House Financial Committee Khalid Bakkar, on Monday said that the government’s delay in reviewing the Audit Bureau’s recommendations has led to a critical financial stage and forced the country to resort to loans.
During a meeting attended by the Audit Bureau president, Abed Kharabsheh, Bakkar said that the committee will establish a mini committee to review the Audit Bureau’s reports submitted to the Lower House, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kharabsheh said the Audit Bureau issues its report every four months upon the Lower House’s request, however, it does not have a law enforcement agency to refer violations to the judiciary.
