Fitness round of King Abdullah Award begins

AMMAN — Deputising for Education Minister Azmi Mahafzah, Director of Educational Activities Zaid Abu Zaid on Thursday inaugurated the 14th physical fitness round of the King Abdullah’s award in the governorate of Jerash, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Abu Zaid stressed the positive impact of the award on the participants, pointing out that it aims at building students’ confidence and self-challenging spirit.

He voiced his appreciation for all participating bodies in the award since it has been launched in 2005, noting that the number of participating students’ increased from 19,000 to 650,000.
