Qualitative shift witnessed by Aqaba due to Royal visions — Mubaidin

AMMAN — Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin said that the qualitative shift witnessed by Aqaba Governorate is due to the Royal visions that wanted Aqaba to be a tributary of the national economy and a tourism  and investment destination through exploiting its location and capabilities in an institutionalised and thoughtful manner.

Mubaidin’s remarks came during a meeting of the security council and the administrative governors of Aqaba Governorate on Sunday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Mubaidin added that Aqaba is gaining importance by virtue of its geographic and strategic location, and it is considered the touristic and economic beacon of Jordan as well as being the sole port of the Kingdom.

The minister stressed the need to continue the process of high-level coordination between the administrative governors and the security services so that the results of coordination will be reflected on the field.
