University majors for vocational streams’ students announced

AMMAN — The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s Higher Education Council (HEC) has finally approved the university majors that Tawjihi (General Secondary Education Certificate Examination) students of the vocational streams are allowed to apply for, as of the academic year 2021/2020.
The Ministry of Education notified tenth grade students for the academic year 2018/2017 of the decision to amend their choices. If they wish in the light of the new amendments to visit the planning departments of the directorates of the ministry in their areas, they should come no later than August 20.
The decision allows the industrial stream students to study engineering, science, agriculture, computer science and information technology, while agricultural stream students can apply to study the disciplines of agriculture, science, veterinary medicine, computer science and information technology.
The decision also allowed hotel and hospitality stream students to study the disciplines of administrative and economic sciences, archaeology and tourism, while allowing the home economics students to study the disciplines of humanities, social sciences, educational sciences and agriculture, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
