Jordan remembers former army chief, minister Habis Majali

AMMAN — Jordan on Sunday remembers Field Marshal Habis Majali, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday. Majali, who passed away in 2001, served as Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army’s chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff, as well as chief chamberlain and defence minister.
Born in Maan, 220km south of Amman, he participated in the Arab-Israeli wars of 1948 and 1967.
