Prince Hashem attends commemoration of Zyoud 2nd death anniversary

AMMAN — HRH Prince Hashem, the chief chamberlain, on Saturday attended a ceremony to commemorate the second anniversary of the death of Maj. Rashed Zyoud, who was killed in an Irbid security operation against a terror cell.

A Royal Decree was issued on March 2, 2016, promoting Zyoud to the rank of major, in appreciation of his sacrifice in fighting terrorists.

Retired Maj. Gen. Hussein Zyoud, Rashed’s father, praised the “heroism” of the fallen officer, referring to his son’s wish for his brothers in arms to continue defending the homeland, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
