Suspects arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms

AMMAN — Preventive Security Department’s personnel on Monday carried out several raids and arrested suspects for the possession of unlicensed firearms, a security source said on Tuesday.
The raids, carried out after receiving tip-offs, resulted in the seizure of 20 weapons and the arrest of suspected owners, the source told the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
In one of the cases, the personnel arrested two suspects in Ruseifa and seized eight guns, while another raid in Ein Al Basha resulted in the arrest of a man in possession of several automatic guns. Investigation was still ongoing, according to Petra.
