King congratulates new Canada governor general

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday sent a cable to Julie Payette congratulating her on her appointment as Canada’s governor general, a Royal Court statement said.
The King stressed Jordan’s keenness to boost cooperation with Canada in various fields. He also wished the governor general good health and the Canadian people further progress and prosperity.
