Education minister honours mathematician Mikhail Hattar

AMMAN — Education Minister Omar Razzaz on Tuesday honoured Jordanian mathematician Mikhail Hattar for his contributions to mathematics that “are in accordance with the ministry’s plans to simplify concepts and present knowledge in an interesting way for students”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Razzaz expressed the ministry’s keenness to benefit from Hattar’s achievements in national mathematics’ teaching methods.
During the ceremony, Hattar, who graduated from Salt secondary school in 1953 and pursued his university studies in the US, outlined his academic achievements, which include publishing several books on methods of teaching mathematics, Petra reported.
