First group of Jordanian Hajj pilgrims to leave on August 16

AMMAN — Head of the Hajj and Umra committee Majdy Btoush has announced that the first group of Jordanian pilgrims to Mecca will leave on August 16, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Btoush said that the committee has completed all Hajj (the greater Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca) arrangements, adding that the pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia in three groups.
The first group will leave on August 16, the second on the 18th and the third, which will be the largest group, will leave on the 19th of the same month. He added that the committee will hold a ceremony on August 19 to see off the Jordanian pilgrims in the pilgrim station in Maan, 220km south of Amman, Petra added.
