Foreign Affairs Committee, EU delegation discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Mafraq MP Raed Khazaaleh, who heads the Lower House’s Foreign Affairs Committee, on Tuesday called on the EU to take further responsibility in the fight against terrorism, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a meeting with the EU Parliament delegation for relations with eastern Arab countries, Khazaaleh added that the EU has successfully solved conflicts in its own countries. He praised Jordan-EU relations, calling for ways to boost them.
The lawmaker also reiterated the importance of reaching a peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue, describing it as the “central issue of the Middle East”.
