Top judge resigns, replaced by Ghazo

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Tuesday appointing Mohammad Odeh Saleh Ghazo as president of the Cassation Court, as of May 23, 2017.
Another Decree was issued approving the resignation of president of the Court of Cassation Judge Hisham Tal, upon his request, as of the same day, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty King Abdullah sent a letter to Tal, in which His Majesty expressed his gratitude to the outgoing jurist.
King Abdullah commended the efforts of Tal, who also served as president of the Judicial Council, where he served with “sincerity, efficiency and competency”, the letter added.
His Majesty also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Tal’s contributions to the judiciary.
