PM discusses investments with Saudi power company chairman

AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Monday met with the chairman of Saudi company ACWA Power, Mohammad Abunayyan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, attended by Energy Minister Ibrahim Saif and Finance Minister Omar Malhas, Mulki stressed the government’s support for investments to enhance power availability and prevent any obstacles that might face investments in Jordan.
For his part, Abunayyan stressed that in 2010, the company made plans to expand outside Saudi Arabia.
It chose Jordan as the first option to invest in electric power generation projects due to the business-friendly environment and availability of efficient human resources.
