AMMAN — Jordan is “the largest beneficiary” of Hungary’s scholarship programme Stipendium Hungaricum, with 400 scholarships annually available for Jordanian students, the embassy said on Tuesday.
The Hungarian Government’s student mobility programme involves 50 partner countries, an embassy statement said, adding that the scholarship entails free tuition and medical insurance, as well as monthly allowances for lodging and living expenses.
At a meeting with Higher Education Minister Adel Tweisi, Hungarian Ambassador to Jordan Csaba Czibere highlighted the new opportunities for Jordanian students to benefit from the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme during the next academic year.
The embassy said students can apply online individually from mid-January to March 5 for full study programmes in bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels in English.

Czibere thanked Tweisi for the ministry’s cooperation in selecting applicants and providing further facilitation by allowing some of the entry exams to take place in Jordan.
“The hundreds of Jordanians already studying in Hungary under this programme are performing well and enjoy their stay in different university towns,” the embassy said.
