AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat checked on General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) students at two schools in Amman on Monday.

Thneibat said students are not complaining about exam questions, adding that he did not see crowds of people around schools where exams are being held, unlike in previous years.

The deputy premier said this indicates that the Jordanian community now has respect for the rules and regulations of Tawjihi.

He voiced hope that the winter session will continue smoothly, commending the efforts of educators, media outlets and local community organisations for their role in ensuring discipline, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Around 88,000 students have registered for the winter session, which concludes on January 16.

Exams are being held in 1,403 halls in 456 schools around the Kingdom, with around 13,000 teachers managing the exam.
