AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Saturday attended a ceremony to launch the “national charter for patient rights”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The document enhances partnership among stakeholders in the health sector in favour of patients, according to Petra.
Fayez said Jordan has become a main destination for patients in the Arab region for its reputation and advanced competence, a status that must be maintained through cooperation between public and private sectors. Former health minister Yasin Husban, who proposed drafting the charter, said the document is meant to unify healthcare suppliers and protect the rights of patients.
